Stonebwoy Requests For More Movie Roles

Ghanaian sensational afro dancehall artiste Stonebwoy Burnington has joined the list of musicians who have found themselves not just doing music but acting in movies as well. Stonebwoy was featured in his first ever professional movie “HAPPY DEATH DAY” which was directed by Kobi Rana. Speaking in an interview with Kobby Drill on LOUD IN GH on Sky 96.7 Mhz in Sunyani, Stonebwoy said he isn’t new to acting and it has been one of his talents when growing up. “I use to act plays when growing up so acting is no new thing to me” he said. He further added that acting in the movie didn’t come as a challenge at all since as a musician he shoots a lot of music videos and it’s in the same vein as acting so he didn’t really struggle with his scenes. Moreover he acted as himself in the movie. “I acted as stonebwoy, I acted as me, and so it wasn’t that difficult” When asked whether he will take acting as a full time profession, Stonebwoy responded in the affirmative and further explained that music and movies forms part of entertainment and that it would be a good combination to do both hence movie producers should book him for more movie roles. The “Pull up” hitmaker further told his fans to watch out for his new album “Necessary Evil” which will be released before the year ends and also a documentary he is working on which will be out early next year Speaking on the response so far on his new single “Baafira” which features award winning rapper Sarkodie, Stonebwoy was happy at the waves the song is making and is hopeful to pick up some awards with the song.
